This article describes the use of cookies within the VIXY Video Player

The VIXY player standalone uses a "volumeControl_volumeValue" cookie, in which the last manually configured volume setting is stored. This can always be turned off by the customer. Furthermore, in the case of closed captions (subtitles), a cookie is also used for the last language used. This widget can also be turned off by the customer, so that the VIXY player does not store cookies standalone.

Furthermore, the VIXY video player stores an anonymized IP address with the statistics, these are stored for one year. A unique viewing session can be assigned to this during investigations in the event of problems or optimization. What is not possible for VIXY is to find out the identity of the visitor. This is functional and necessary to distinguish between unique plays in the statistics.
